At MEC Springs we are best positioned to advise and manufacture the spring or wire shape that will suit your needs.
At MEC, we design and produce springs and wire shapes in many grades of material, including but not limited to, stainless steel, galvanised, and plain carbon spring steel. These materials are available in sizes ranging from 0.1mm to 24mm. For other sizes, please get in touch and we will ensure your query is accommodated
Extension Springs
Tension Springs have many applications. There are many possible ends that can be produced such as hooks with a gap, fully closed loops, extended hooks, side loops or hooks, and screwed in attachments.
Compression Springs
Compression Springs are our most common type of spring. Most are cylindrical in nature with a uniform shape throughout. Compression springs however can also be conical, tapered at the ends, or barrel shaped. Which one is used depends on the application and available space.
Torsion Springs
Torsion Springs operate around a fixed axis under torque forces. The coil is active while the legs permit the torque to be applied effectively. Torsion Springs come in both right and left hand variants and often one of each will be used to complement each other. Where possible a combined spring called a double torsion is used.
Wire Shapes & Clips
Our range of wire shapes and clips is almost limitless. R-Clips, Retaining Clips, and End Cap Clips of varying sizes can all be produced in-house.
Medical Grade Coat Hangers
Our latest venture into the medical world is our range of stainless steel coat hangers. Made from 5.0mm S/S and suitable for use in radiology departments, veterinary practices, dentist practices, and for general hospital use. Variations available to fulfil specific requirements.
